We all know that the holidays are a time for thinking of our loved ones and friends. This is just one of the many things that make this time of year magical. Our Den (Phoenix) is going to extend those thoughts to our heroes fighting in Iraq. We will be making home made Christmas cards for our troops and sending them to Iraq in time for Christmas. As you all know, a home made Christmas card from a child is the most special kind. I am inviting everyone to participate by helping your Scout to create his own unique Christmas card for one of our troops (you are welcome to make as many cards as you like, the more the merrier). Our den is using construction paper folded in half, glue & glitter, and crayons (you may use whatever you have available). You may address the troop as "Dear Friend, Hero, Soldier, etc..." KEEP IN MIND, the card your scout makes may be the only thing the soldier gets from home and he/she will appreciate it beyond words and hold it dear. I am working closely with Karen Humbert to get the cards to the troops. Karen is our local representative for Operation Interdependence. For more information on Operation Interdependence, please [[http://www.oidelivers.org click here]]. Karen has offered to have everyone drop their cards off at her home address (790 Eschenburge Drive, between 5th and 6th street) here in Gilroy. I was informed that candy, toiletries, and other gifts will also be greatly appreciated by our troops, these too can be dropped of at Karen’s residence. PLEASE BE ADVISED: NO PERSONAL ADDRESSES OR PHONE NUMBERS MY BE GIVEN TO THE TROOPS IN THE CARDS FOR THE CHILD'S PROTECTION. Please contact Karen at 408-848-2630 with any questions you may have. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity. Together we can make the holidays a little brighter for our troops. Thanks again everyone! [mailto://chrisnjess.1@juno.com Jessica Kohlstrunk]

Christmas Cards For Our Soldiers

Happy Holidays Everyone! UPDATED 12/5/2007

We all know that the holidays are a time for thinking of our loved ones and friends. This is just one of the many things that make this time of year magical. Web Site Designers Wanted

You may have noticed that the background of the web site looks a lot like the Wikipedia. That's because it's using the same web engine. However, it doesn't have to stay looking like Wikipedia - we can customize the "Skin" however we want. If you have any experience with HTML, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), or developing logos or pictures using Photo Shop or Gimp, and would like to contribute, contact Glen Dinsmore.

Web Site Sponsor

A huge thank you goes out to Straight Line Caulking & Waterproofing for providing the funds required to get the Pack 794 and Troop 792 websites up and running!
