Thank you for participating in Scouting For Food!

This is an annual "good turn," not coincidentally prior to Thanksgiving, in which the Scouts collect food for the needy.

This can be done any way each family wishes. I have found the most successful, and convenient, way is to leave a note (on the next pages, one for a single Scout and one for brothers) with a bag on each doorstep. Be sure to fill in the date and time you will pick these up!

I will have the official bags from the Scout Office. Feel free to use any container you want. (Myself, I find it easier to use paper bags with the note stapled to it.)

In the past (when our Pack meetings were the third Thursday of the month), we brought the food donations to the Pack meeting, did a group photo, and then drove it to the food bank (St. Joseph's) the following Saturday. This year it will be a bit different:

Please bring the food donations to St. Joseph's on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 12:00 noon sharp. If you cannot make it, pls. arrange to have a fellow Pack or Troop family do this.

One can of food (or two for a pair of brothers) gets the Scout a patch.

There are also thank-you notes in this document. Be sure to thank anyone who donates.

Questions, pls. e-mail ([1]) or call (842-2526).
